Hyper Bicycles was a brand originally started back in the day in the mid 80's. They made a chromolly race frame with a long low profile and twin top tubes. Old School pro Greg Grubbs rode for them and they did some pretty cool ads in BMX Action Magazine. That company only lasted a few years and died in the late 80's when BMX hit a slump. Fast forward to the mid 90's and NJ local Clay Goldsmith launched his own BMX frame company using the Hyper Brand name. Hyper has always been a pure BMX racing compnany, making high-end race frames. They have a unique design, cool graphics, and good quality. I feel like they have alot of potential that has not been reached, and they missed the boat in the late 90's and early 2000's when it seems like all the small BMX companies from the 90's blew up. Either way, if your looking for a nice lightweight race frame, check out Hyper. |
